  21. Because he took a big gamble last year.  He expanded the company in major
  22. ways three times (Commodore, Rumbelows, RWE) and the return on the balance
  23. sheet was lousy, PC industry hit notwithstanding.  So someone had to be
  24. held accountable.

  26. I'm not saying I agree with the decision.  But that's how 1995 unfolded 
  27. for Escom.
